Experience Turku from a new perspective - academic walk is an interesting experience for everyone. The walk suits both the tourists as well as the people living in Turku – families and people travelling by themselves. The tour is an excellent way to introduce Turku to the summer visitors or a student moving to the city.
Where and for how long
The guided walks start by the statue of Mikael Agricola at the southern wall of the Turku Cathedral (link to a map). The tour leads the wanderer from the surroundings of the Turku Cathedral through Koskenniemenkatu to the university hill – during the walk you will get acquainted with remarkable sights from five centuries of academic Turku.
The walks last about one hour. It is good to arrive about five minutes before the walk starts.
